Sales and Pickup/Goat Policy

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse a sale to any individual or farm at our discretion. We also reserve the right to refuse transport to any individual or farm at our discretion.

Deposit Information: We require a non-refundable deposit of $100 on kids (reservations on unborn kids are free.) We accept PayPal only and nothing is considered “sold” until payment is received. We operate on a first-come, first-pay basis.

Reservations: reservations go in order and it is preferred that you specify a kid from a specific lineage, (saying doe from Little Bit rather than saying doe kid, for example), you would come first if you were first on that specific doe.

We will accept up to three reservations on doelings and up to three reservations on bucklings for each pregnant doe. If we come to your name and you pass on an opportunity, your name will be moved to the bottom of the list.

Please note that you will be given 48 hours to make a decision on the purchase of the kid. Pictures and other pertinent information will be supplied in order for the purchaser to make a better informed decision. Reservations for new kids do not require a deposit but we do require contact information, including name, email, and phone number.

Kid Treatment Prior to Pickup:

  • 7-10 days of age: Disbudded when necessary, receive anti-tetanus shot on the same day as disbudding
  • 3 weeks of age: Di-Methox treatment, wormed
  • 4 weeks of age: Hoof trim, 1st CD&T shot
  • 6 weeks of age: CORID treatment, wormed
  • 8 weeks of age: Hoof trim, 2nd CD&T shot, tattooed

Pickup: Once a purchase is finalized via funds received through PayPal, your kids will be available for pickup once they reach 8 weeks of age. You will be contacted to schedule a date for pickup once the doeling or buckling is 4 weeks of age. At pickup, you will receive your registration paperwork and goat information.

If goat is not picked up by agreed upon date, a boarding fee of $10 per day will be applied and will be due once pickup is made. Additionally, if pickup does not occur on agreed upon date, Willow Branch Farm reserves the right to sell the goat to another party and the deposit may be forfeited.

Transportation: We can also arrange for transportation. If interested in this option, please reach out to us to check on pricing for your area.

Guarantees: Willow Branch Farm does not offer guarantees regarding the ongoing health of animals purchased from our farm, other than the goat(s) will be in good health on the day of pickup. After pickup, the goat becomes the responsibility of the new owner, so make sure you are prepared for your new addition! We are always happy to share information regarding how we manage our herd if that information would be helpful in acclimating the goat to their new home.

Feel free to contact me with any questions that you might have that is not addressed in the information above.
